We are organizing a workshop to provide guidance about writing papers for top ACM SIGCHI international conferences. The workshop will have two parts. In the morning, there will be a large group presentation in which we describe CSCW and related ACM SIGCHI conferences, the kinds of papers that can be submitted, strategies and tips for successful paper writing, and the general review process. In the afternoon, there will be small group writing sessions with a native English-speaking mentor from the CSCW community.

Participation
===============
The morning session is open to anyone registered in the SBSC 2012 who would like to attend. The afternoon session is reserved for people who are trying to prepare papers to submit to SIGCHI conferences (CSCW, CHI, Ubicomp, etc). Participants will be divided in small groups that will focus on the types of papers (and submissions) they are more interested in (ethnographies, laboratory studies, design papers, tools and prototypes, and so on). To participate in the afternoon sessions, people will need to submit an abstract of a paper of the work they plan to submit to a conference or an abstract about their current research. Abstracts should include a description of the topic of the work, a description of what was done (e.g. building a tool, running a study) and a description of results so far. Participants will be selected according to the following order of preference:

- Researchers and faculty, i.e., Ph.D.;
- Ph.D students;
- M.Sc. students; and
- Others, including undergraduate students.

Mentors
===============
Mentors will be prominent members of the CSCW community, who have published many papers at the conference. Mentors will include:
- Susan Fussell, Cornell University (chair);
- David Redmiles, University of California, Irvine;
- David McDonald, University of Washington;
- Gary Olson, University of California, Irvine; and
- Kori Inkpen Quinn, Microsoft Research.

All mentors are experienced at helping non-native English-speaking authors fine-tune their papers for the CSCW audience. Each mentor will work with a group of participants on their submissions.

[Scope]

Global warming and climate change have been a growing worldwide concern. Six sources, i.e., transportation, power, buildings, industry, agriculture and forestry, and land use, have been identified as major contributors to the rise of global carbon dioxide (CO2). The mobile industry is seen as a potential enabler to reduce greenhouse gases contributed by these six sources provided that appropriate measures are implemented. On the other hand, the mobile industry itself will also contribute to CO2 emission through network operations, mobile equipments, etc. To meet the requirement of low-carbon economy development, it is necessary to reduce the operation expenditure or energy consumption of mobile networks, while maintaining acceptable quality of service. This conference will explore and explain the scope and challenges of designing, building, and deploying GreeNets. In this regard, the conference aims to establish a forum to bring together research professionals from di
verse fields including green mobile networks, system architectures, networking & communication protocols, applications, test-bed and prototype, traffic balance and energy-efficient cooperation transmission, system and application issues related to GreeNets.

JAIIO (Argentine Conference on Informatics) is one of the most
significant conferences and prestige in the region, organized by SADIO
(Argentine Society of Informatics) since 1961, with the participation
of professionals from industry and academia.
ASSE 2012 (Argentine Symposium on Software Engineering) will bring
together researchers, developers, and practitioners to discuss new
ideas, problems and experiences in the field of Software Engineering.
ASSE 2012 will be part of the 41th JAIIO. ASSE 2012 seeks original

relative to this method, practice or tool, its applicability its
effectiveness, or insights on how to further improve it. In
particular, the content must be practical and relevant, and be
presented in a well-documented and thorough manner.

All papers must be written in English, Spanish or Portuguese. They
will be reviewed by an international Program Committee, which will be
composed of members from both Industry and Academia, so that research
papers and experience reports can be evaluated by experts in the
subject.

Papers may be accepted for presentation as talks or as posters during
the conference. All papers and experience reports will be published in
SADIO Proceedings of the JAIIO. Best papers will be invited for
publication in the Electronic Journal of SADIO.

Submission Guidelines
The versions submitted for review must be uploaded in .PDF format. The
submission system will be opened for contributions shortly. The format
for the camera-ready copy will be in Springer format, which can be
found at http://www.springer.de/comp/lncs/authors.html. The correct
reception of a submission will be acknowledged immediately to the
contact author.
Full research papers and experience reports: Submission must follow
the following format: they must be written in English, Spanish or
Portuguese, up to 15 pages for full papers and 10 pages for experience
reports, 11 points font, times, A4 (210 x 297 millimeters) paper,
including name, affiliation and address of the author/s, figures and
references. Papers should also include keywords and an abstract of no
more than 200 words. In case a Full Paper is accepted as a Short
Paper, the format is the same as the Full Paper but restricted to 6
pages.

Each accepted paper must be presented in the symposium, and the
presenter must be registered in the conference.
All the symposia at 41 JAIIO use SADIO’s conference management system
to handle submissions. To upload your contribution you first need to
register and sign in. The web page of the symposia provide detailed
instructions about registration and submission, direct access to the
